PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor 2014
Raised in California (USA), I’ve always loved outdoors sports cycling, snowboarding, rock climbing, camping, trekking, surfing, wakeboarding, etc. My love for scuba diving started while doing a 1 day discover local diving in Hawaii, which then lead me to OWSI certified at the PADI headquarter in Rancho Santa Margarita in 2014. I relocated to Thailand in 2015 after meeting my wife while scuba diving in the Maldives 2 years prior. I strongly believe scuba diving brings the ultimate happiness. Besides the obvious (meeting the love of my life), I formed new friendships across the globe while witnessing and able to take videos/photographs of things I cannot imagine exists beneath our oceans.
Scuba diving offers me a peaceful, meditational, and weightlessness experience to Zen out suspended in space—an escape getaway from all the noise, the traffic and the troubles in the world. As soon as I descend into the waters I hear nothing but my own breathing under water. No talking, no phones ringing, all communication goes via hand signals. When below the surface I completely forget about what’s happening on land, and what keeps me worrisome busy. For that hour under the water, it’s just me, my thoughts, and underwater camera.
